The coronavirus pandemic has infected millions of people around the world this year, and Sharon Osbourne is the most recent celeb to test positive for the deadly disease. The 68-year-old The Talk host took to Twitter on December 15 to make the announcement, sharing that she had even been hospitalized and bid others to, “stay safe and healthy.”

Osbourne, who co-hosts The Talk with Carrie Ann Inaba, Eve, and Sheryl Underwood, released the news of her positive Covid test just under a week after Inaba revealed that she too had come down with the highly infectious virus. As of a result, Inaba missed last week’s episode of The Talk, so it’s unclear how Osbourne became ill.

In a brief tweet, Osbourne wrote to her fans, “I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for Covid 19. After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while The Talk is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy.”

After coming down with Covid 19, Osbourne shared a thoughtful message to her co-host Eve as she prepared to leave The Talk following four seasons on the popular television show. During Eve’s final episode, Osbourne said, “I knew that you were going to be friendly and a lovely person, but I didn’t know how wonderful it would be. Like you’ve got your wings now, and you’re flying...you’re unstoppable right now.”

Thankfully Osbourne is out of the hospital, feeling better, and ready to get back to filming The Talk. It’s been a long year for everyone, and Sharon’s wishes for everyone to stay safe and healthy are surely a sentiment that many people resonate with heading into 2021.
