Jessica Simpson continues to promote her new music, in style! The “I Wanna Love You Forever” hitmaker, 44, recently posted a compilation video on Instagram. It featured a series of photos showcasing her in stylish and playful outfits, such as a ruby red mini dress adorned with sheer fabric and red heart embellishments secured with safety pins, accentuating her toned physique and recent weight loss.
On February 14th, Simpson wrote in her caption for her 6.3 million followers: “This heart is safety-pinned with music this Valentine’s Day!” She promoted her new single, “Use My Heart Against Me,” that dropped February 21st. Fans headed to the comments section to praise her style and new song.

To complete her red mini dress get-up, the newly single Simpson added a multicolored furry overcoat, knee-high red snakeskin heeled boots and scarlet sunglasses. Beneath the post, one fan wrote: “My queen is back with everything and more powerful than ever!” Another commented: “Yes Jess!!!!!” as one other gushed: “Stunning as always!!”
This follows Simpson’s recent People revelation about her upcoming EP, Nashville Canyon, Part 1, featuring five tracks with a blend of soul and rockabilly, set for release on March 21st. In an interview released by the publication last week, the “Irresistible” vocalist looked back on the time she arrived in Nashville in September 2023 to create new music. “I was unstoppable,” she said, adding, “I’d wake up in the morning and write down poetry, lucid dreaming style.”
Simpson continued that she would" bring that to the songwriting sessions." Regarding her new single, Simpson said it was a "sexy song to write."
The Sweet Kisses artist (who recently split from ex Eric Johnson) went on, "I woke up with that lyric in my head," she explains. "It’s kind of craving someone that you want again and you don’t care if your heart is used against you – if it’s just for one night. Like, give it over, just for the experience again."

The mom of three (who shares daughter Maxwell Drew, 12, son Ace Knute, 11, and daughter Birdie Mae, 5, with Johnson, 45) added, "I didn’t necessarily want it at the beginning of writing this record. I was in a different place."
The Dukes of Hazzard alum also shared, "I've grown up so much and I can handle so much. I am strong. Maybe I’m just meant to love a lot of people in my life."
Regarding her big comeback to music, Simpson stressed, "I'd never be able to come back to music if I didn't come at it from a soulful place."
