Although you should definitely pick a hair color that suits you, there is one popular trend that’s all over Instagram (and the red carpet) that you may want to try out: silver.
Celebs like Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga have both tried out silver hair for themselves--and they're proving that there's nothing "old" about gray hair.
The icy silver hair color compliments both celebs' coloring perfectly, and the bold color is neutral enough that it won't clash with even their most daring red carpet outfits. Instead, it simply adds a "wow" factor to all of their looks.
Although this trend might seem brand new, this is not the first time it has circulated.
New York-based stylist Kitty Greller tells SheFinds,"The Smokey ice color hair reminds me of the frosted look of the 70’s in a good way."
This modern version of a 70's trend is only getting more popular throughout the fall. So if you do take the plunge, you definitely won't be the only one rocking the new 'do.
Greller explains, "I do see a lot of women who want this color because it is so trendy."
Before you make an appointment with your colorist, make sure that this hue will suit your coloring and not wash you out.
"Silver doesn’t look good on every skin tone," Kitty explains, "My advice is if your not sure ask your stylist, or that really truthful friend (we all have one). And see what they say."
Once you get the "okay," it's also a good idea to invest in a good purple shampoo to maintain the color's cool tones and keep your silver hair looking icy throughout the season.
