The music mogul told the pub at the time of his interview, "There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero," before saying that he sticks to more natural and less-invasive treatments. "I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it. Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment."
In 2018, Cowell said that he had tried the increasingly popular non-surgical face lift, which Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Ferguson are rumored to be fans of. According to his past interview with The Sun, the procedure involves "bioplastic-infused thread." However, many skin specialists aren’t actually fans of the treatment, suggesting that it can cause skin scarring. "I find it causes the dermal layer of the skin to age irregularly," Chicago surgeon Michael Byun said, according to The Express.
Cowell also confessed in his Sun interview that his son Eric, now 9, didn’t like his father's appearance and was "in hysterics," which is what led to him making the decision to stop. However, fans think the decision was only temporary and are convinced he has been doing Botox again, as his appearance since the interview seems to suggest that he hasn’t completely laid off the treatments.
Fans were recently concerned about his appearance when he posted a video of himself congratulating One Direction for reaching one billion Spotify streams for their debut song, "What Makes You Beautiful." Cowell has reportedly lost around 60 lbs, which he spoke to The Sun about in his candid April 2022 interview. He said he "re-evaluated" his diet, which included reducing his consumption of meat and cutting out sugar. He also told the pub that he "used to binge on sausage rolls, hamburgers and his favorite jam tarts made by his personal chefs," and was therefore able to "drop four waist sizes" by removing those foods.
