Simon Cowell‘s fans and America’s Got Talent viewers have recently commented on the talent show judge’s “real face” on Twitter and elsewhere after he admitted to regretting plastic surgery in the past. Back in April, the television personality, 62, sat down for an interview with The Sun and revealed that he thought he had gone “a bit too far” with face fillers, adding that he found they made him look “like something out of a horror film.”
“I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me first of all,” Cowell told the British outlet, noting that his son Eric, 8, was “in hysterics.” The American Idol icon continued, “Enough was enough,” and confirmed, “There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
With that said, millions of viewers tune in to AGT each episode, and most recently, some haven’t been shy with their thoughts on Cowell’s filler-free face online. Last week, the X Factor creator stepped out on the red carpet, showing off his “new look,” and some fans noticed he “lost weight.” Cowell smiled for the cameras and carried a dog in his arms while wearing a navy sweater, a matching pair of trousers and looking, as one fan wrote, “noticeably different.” We rounded up other recent tweets on the topic from fans:
As far as what procedures he had done, Cowell also explained to The Sun that he had a facelift in 2018. Upon reflection, he recognized there were benefits, but ultimately, the cons outweighed the pros when it came to his personal life. “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox,” Cowell said, “It hurts like hell, but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap.”
In 2022, he said to the publication, “There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other,” he continued, “But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water.”
The Britain’s Got Talent mogul also reportedly lost four inches off his weight and discussed his diet with the outlet in 2020. He noted that this wasn’t through a gastric band, but rather, through a reevaluated diet, including reduced meat intake and cutting out sugar. He also stressed he avoids red meat, but still treats himself to a light beer from time to time. He also said that removing dairy or gluten from his daily intake impacted his weight loss. “Cutting all that out is what has made a difference, genuinely,” he said to The Sun.
