Amid a string of recent public appearances where Simon Cowell revealed his new look after undergoing multiple plastic surgeries, opening up about his health concerns, and losing 60 pounds, many fans continue to react to his transformation.

The 64-year-old music mogul made an appearance at the Royal Variety Show in London earlier this month, where he introduced the latest winner of Britain’s Got Talent to the star-studded audience at the charity event.

In the wake of Cowell’s recent outing and multiple “changes” to his appearance, numerous fans flocked to social media to voice their opinions, with many claiming that the former American Idol judge bore a striking resemblance to the late George Michael.

Fans Are Doing A Double Take & Comparing Simon Cowell To George Michael

On November 30th, Cowell stepped out at the famed Royal Albert Hall to welcome Britain's Got Talent victor Viggo Venn to the stage. The event was broadcasted in the U.K. on December 17th, and many fans continue to harp on Cowell's appearance and how much he apparently "looked like" the late "Careless Whisper" hitmaker, Michael.

Cowell donned a navy blazer, a black top underneath and sunglasses with orange-tinted lenses as he walked on stage. The television personality also sported a shorter sleek haircut. "The best thing about making Britain’s Got Talent is, it’s fun,"  Cowell told viewers. "We see the most amazing people every year. In my opinion, we have the best prize in the world, which is to perform in front of the royal family. I can honestly say I’ve never seen an act like this before."

He continued: "He won the show and I can officially say, I now love you Viggo. I have no idea what he’s going to do tonight. Please welcome the incredible Viggo and in his words, one more time."

Fans then headed to social media to share their thoughts, and an overwhelming amount of X users (formerly Twitter) began comparing Cowell to Michael.

"Thought it was a George Michael tribute act when I looked up [sic] #simoncowell #RoyalVarietyPerformance," one tweeted as another added: "Simon Cowell has turned into George Michael." Someone else concurred, writing: "I didn't recognize him." One other deemed him "George Michael Cowell."

Cher graced the 2023 Royal Variety Performance with her headlining act, complemented by performances from Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson, a special celebration of Disney Theatrical's 100th anniversary, renowned British vocalist Paloma Faith, and Chinese pianist Lang Lang.
