Apple reportedly flew five cargo planes of iPhones and other products from India and China to the United States in late March to avoid impending tariffs (as of publication, the tariffs on China are between 104 and 125 percent, but this could change at any moment). With the baseline tariff set at 10 percent across all countries slated to take effect on April 10, Apple knew its time was limited, so it acted fast.
