Sofia Richie is back in the dating world after her recent split from Scott Disick. The 22-year-old model seems to have a new boyfriend, this one a bit closer to her own age than her previous beau, who is 37.
Richie is reportedly coupled up with Matthew Morton, the 27-year-old co-founder of Cha Cha Matcha and son of Hard Rock Cafe founder Peter Morton. Richie was spotted kissing Matthew Morton while out to dinner at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills last week.
The couple's recent date marks the second time they appeared in public together. Richie and Morton were photographed leaving restaurant Nobu Malibu together last month.
This is also the first time Richie has been seen dating since her breakup.
Richie and Disick had been together for three years before they called it quits this past May. A source told People at the time, "Scott's focus is his health and the kids," the insider said. "Sofia wants to hang out with friends and enjoy the summer. Since they are no longer on the same page, they decided to just be apart. At least for now."
Disick shares three children with ex-girlfried Kourtney Kardashian: Mason, 10, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 5.
Richie seems to have more in common with her new boyfriend. A source told Life & Style, “He’s ambitious, intelligent and has got his s–t together. Sofia finds him inspiring — and what she likes about him is that despite coming from the Hard Rock dynasty, he’s totally unaffected.”
Morton is an entrepreneur, having founded the Cha Cha Matcha chain of matcha shops in 2015, along with business partner and friend Conrad Sandelman.
Morton's ambitious spirit may be what attracted Richie to him in the first place. Despite her young age, Richie has already celebrated many accomplishments in her career.
As a model, Richie has starred in campaigns of fashion designers including Chanel and Michael Kors. She has also ventured into designing clothing herself, having teamed with Frankie's Bikinis, Missguided and Rolla's Jeans on collaborative collections.
