You Won’t Believe What Sofia Vergara Had To Say About Ellen DeGeneres–We Didn’t See This Coming AT ALL!

In the video Sofia shared, Ellen and her discuss their new CoverGirl commercial, and Ellen jokes, "I don't know why...They give her the hardest lines too because we have to describe what's in the CoverGirl makeup and so she has such a hard time pronouncing any of the ingredients."

The comment on Vergara's accent did not seem to offend the Modern Family star. She laughed and replied, "I think because you are much more famous than me and older than me so they give you priority and you read the script first and then you're the one that makes me say those words because there's no way."

Plus, her tweet confirmed that she was not upset about Ellen's comments. She wrote, "Two comedians having fun with each other to entertain. I was never a victim guys, I was always in on the joke."

However, others were not as quick to brush off the remarks.

One replied to Vergara's tweet, "I am glad you were not hurt or offended but that does not change the fact that for many, those are not jokes. Whether you find them funny or not, the comments were racist and play into nasty stereotypes and ideas that all immigrants have to assimilate to sound like us."

Another responded, "Definitely! Problem is most immigrants subject to this kind of treatment are not comedians, they are mocked and disrespected. So question is, when the joke turns into discrimination? Careful with crossing the line."

Vergara has not responded to these fan concerns, and Ellen has not yet commented on the matter at all.
