Summer is officially in full swing, which means there’s never been a better time to enjoy a refreshing drink from Starbucks. And luckily, the coffee chain has given customers the perfect beverages to choose with their new summer menu: the brand new fruity Paradise Refresher and Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher, which will both pair swimmingly with their very first chicken sandwich. We can’t wait to try it all!
These new menu items dropped on June 21 (the first official day of summer!) and they already seem to be a hit. The Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher is filled with (you guessed it) tasty pineapple and passionfruit flavors, and even complete with real diced pineapple pieces. Yum! The chain recommends trying it out with some lemonade. Sign us up!

Next up, the Paradise Drink offers all the same flavors with an extra addition of coconut milk for those who want something a little creamier. Think Pink Drink, but with a tropical twist. Raegan Powell, senior product developer, described this drink as “sunshine in a cup” and said “it’s the perfect summer sip for a little moment of escape wherever you are” in an announcement. Sounds like the perfect bev for a hot day!
Then there’s the menu item we’re most excited for: the chicken sandwich. Starbucks is well-known for their tasty breakfast sandwiches, so we’re honestly surprised it took them so long to add a chicken option to the mix, but we’re so stoked to see the the Chicken Maple Butter and Egg Sandwich finally join the lineup, nonetheless. This sandwich is complete with white meat chicken, a unique maple butter spread, and, of course, fluffy eggs to bring it all together. It’s all held between a toasted oat biscuit. Our mouths are watering! Even better, this menu item won’t just be in town for the summer: it’s now a permanent option, and the first of its kind to grace the U.S. Starbucks repertoire. Chicken lovers rejoice!

Finally, there’s one more sweet treat on deck: the brand new Cookies & Cream Cake Pop, complete with chocolates cake, cookie bits, and buttercream, all dipped in white chocolate and dark chocolate cookie crumble. Dessert, anyone? We’re thinking about making a Starbucks run… like, ASAP.
