Starbucks Employee Shows How To Get ‘Three Drinks For The Price Of One’ In Viral TikTok Video

Love your daily boost from Starbucks, but not as in love with the price? Well, we have a savings solution—and it comes from an employee of the mega-popular chain itself!

TikToker and Starbucks barista medyaar recently went viral for their video showing an ordering hack that gives the customer “three drinks for the price of one”, scoring over 14 million views in days. And all it takes is a little ice, extra pouring, and innovation. Check out the video below.

One Venti, Three Tall Drinks

The hack is remarkably simple: order your desired drink in a Venti (large) size with no ice—the TikToker chose the famous “Pink Drink”—and, along with that, order three Tall (or short) cups with only ice in them. Then, pour the drink evenly between the three cups, and voila! Three chilled Tall Pink Drinks for the price of only one Venti.

According to the Starbucks online menu local to the Connecticut area, before tax and with no modifications, one Venti Pink Drink costs $__, likely with additional cup charges for the three Tall ice cups; three Tall Pink Drinks, however, cost $__ total. It’s not an enormous difference, but with many families cutting costs to save money, it could be the difference between a little treat for a trio or choosing to go without instead.

TikTokers React: 'Don't Let Starbucks Find Out!'

Reception to the video has been mixed on the app, with some calling the hack "a great idea" while others have argued, "still just one drink" and "instead of ice, [they'll] just put water in". Other commenters were concerned Starbucks would change their policy after the hack went viral: "Starbucks will now charge for light ice or no water ", read one reply.

Other employees for the coffee chain also chimed in on the thread, with one sharing that she "used to work at Starbucks and I wouldn't complain, less work than making 3 separate drinks," and another adding "I work at Starbucks. Most stores won’t fill when you do no ice but our store we fill it up. We want our customers happy." Still others wrote that Starbucks will soon be adding an additional charge to any no-ice order, though it remains to be seen if and when that charge will be implemented.

Starbucks has not yet commented on the viral hack, nor the rumors that a new no-ice charge is imminent.
