Starbucks Eliminated This Bestselling Holiday Drink—And Customers Are Furious
December 13, 2021 by Justine Schwartz
Starbucks attempted to quietly discontinued their popular “Eggnog Latte” from the holiday menu this year–and diehard customers aren’t going to take it lying down!
The Seattle-based coffee chain might have made Taylor Swift fans supremely happy by releasing a special “Taylor’s Latte” to coincide with her re-release of “Red,” but they surely pissed off a legion of others by removing the popular eggnog-flavored drink from their holiday line-up. You can’t get anything past these people!
Twitter erupted with comments about the obvious omission from their seasonal drinks for 2021.
“No Eggnog Latte at Starbucks this year. War on Christmas is officially back on,” wrote one user.
“Starbucks literally dropped their Eggnog Latte for this year, I’m actually so upset right now don’t talk to me,” wrote another. The pain is palpable!
Starbucks confirmed the decision to Thrillist via statement. “As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the items on our menu, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers and our business priorities,” they said. “While we no longer offer the Eggnog Latte, our partners will be happy to recommend an alternative beverage or customization.” What a load of rubbish!
