Starbucks Just Made The Most Heartbreaking Announcement & We’re Devastated

In case you missed it, the company does still have select drive-thru locations open now.

Customers can also place orders via the app and pick them up at the drive-thru store locations.

Additionally, Starbucks is offering a $0 delivery fee for all orders on Uber Eats. Nice! 

While this is certainly disappointing for our own coffee consumption, we applaud the juggernaut for doing what is necessary to keep employees safe.

Although we personally deem this an "essential" business, we're happy to simply buy their coffee beans for safe, at-home use, or patron the drive-thru locations when a prepared coffee is absolutely necessary.

The java chain's announcement came from Rossann Williams, Starbucks’ EVP and president of U.S. corporate stores, who also announced that the company would stretch temporary coronavirus benefits until May 3, including “Catastrophe Pay,” and “Service Pay.” Bravo!

These benefits are life-changing for Starbucks employees. “Service Pay,” for example, gives workers who continue to come in during the crisis an additional $3 per hour.
