Subway Has Made Some BIG Changes To Its Menu After Its Tuna Scandal—What Are They?
January 25, 2022 by Marissa Matozzo
Subway is more than ready to move on from their 2021 tuna-related scandal—a lawsuit with two customers claiming their ‘tuna’ sandwiches weren’t made with tuna but contained other meats—since a California judge dismissed the proposed class action. Now, Subway just made several notable changes to their 2022 menu (and none involve tuna).
Firstly, Subway will add two brand new sandwiches to their offerings. The first is the “Baja Turkey Avocado” sub, made with oven-roasted turkey and smashed avocado on hearty multigrain bread and topped with vegetables including lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers and red onion. The sandwich is also drizzled with spicy Baja Chipotle sauce for added flavor.
The second new menu item is the “Honey Mustard Rotisserie-Style Chicken” sub, made with rotisserie-style chicken on hearty multigrain bread and topped with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper and red onion. For an extra kick of flavor, the sub is complete with honey mustard and then toasted.
