Sunny Hostin continues to wow fans and flaunt her 40-pound weight loss and chic style.

The View co-host, 56, has disclosed that she resorted to a prescription weight-loss medication after putting on 40 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for how she did it? The former prosecutor shared that she used the widely–known drug Mounjaro, noting that the experience of weight gain brought a sense of shame she had never felt before.

Back in March, Hostin told her View co-stars: ""there is shame when you've gained weight." She added: "I had never experienced that kind of shame before."

The lawyer went on: "During COVID, I gained 40. lbs. All I did was eat... I love to cook, and I found out, I love to eat. And I was horrified about the fact that I would have to come out on air. So I also took Mounjaro."

The Emmy winner also shared that she found that her cholesterol "went up to 200" when she gained the "extra weight." Hostin explained: "I use Mounjaro and my cholesterol is 140 now. I feel better, I think I look better, and that’s what this is about for people."

The Summer on Highland Beach author also said that she thinks "these medications are changing lives and saving lives."

Mounjaro, which has received approval from the FDA for managing type 2 diabetes, is also used by celebrities such as Hostin's co-host Whoopi Goldberg and American Idol alum Adam Lambert for losing weight.
