The Super Affordable Heels Celebrities Swear By Because They're SO Flattering

When it comes to looking gorgeous on the red carpet, celebs have a few tricks up their sleeves.

One such trick is all about footwear. If you have to show some leg and want yours to look ten miles long, a la Blake Lively or Kendall Jenner, all you need to do is a grab a pair of ankle-strap nude sandals. Yes, it’s that simple.

While you might think stars would opt for a 6-inch Louboutin to make their legs look long and lean, the truth is that the ankle-strap sandal is Hollywood’s hardest working shoe. And while pricey pairs are definitely available (and we’ve included some of them here), you can absolutely get this trend easily at any department store for under $100. We found plenty of those too, see below.

To start, let’s examine how many celebs have worn Stuart Weitzman’s cult Nudist heel. Almost too many to name here–but let’s go: Jennifer Lopez (pictured at the Golden Globes), Olivia Munn, Blake Lively, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lawrence, Diane Kruger, Kendall Jenner… I could go on:

Olivia Munn wore her Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals with a matching yellow shorts suit to a WWD and Variety event.

Blake Lively opted for a peekaboo mini dress. How amazing do her gams look?? (A rigorous post-baby workout routine helps.)

Rita Ora turned up the volume in this red carpet look: she styled her stunning Zuhair Murad gown with a pair of (what else?) ankle-strap nude sandals.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proved that you can wear these sandals for everyday too, by rocking them with skinnies and white button down. SO chic.

The shoes are absolutely stunning, but yes, they’re $400:

Then you’ve got Chloe Gosselin’s ‘Narcissus’ sandal. At $368, they’re also a splurge–but Nicole Kidman, Olivia Munn, Kerry Washington, Lili Reinhart, Isla Fisher and more have all worn them on the red carpet. Just shows, again, how flattering and popular this particular style is.

These have a higher heel, and also come in a very popular dusty pink velvet.

Then you’ve got Vince Camuto. The brand makes two popular ankle-strap styles that celebs love as apart of their Red Carpet Collection: the Reyna Sandal ($280), which Aubrey Plaza is a fan of, and the Rora Sandal ($280), which Maddie Ziegler and Rowan Blanchard have worn. Lovely!

And now comes the fun part: Steve Madden makes a great Nudist look-alike called the Stecy for under $50. Other brands like Chinese Laundry and Carlos by Carlos Santana also make fantasic dupes. These styles are perfect for wedding season, are extremely flattering, and won’t break the bank. Shop now:
