The 100+ Best New Beauty Launches Of 2024

5 Hydrating Beverages To Sip On This Winter For A More Radiant Glow

1. Lemon Water and Honey

Based on studies, lemon juice is proven to be very effective against disease-causing fungal growth, according to Anna Chacon, MD, a dermatologist and writer at MyPsorasisTeam. “Additionally, lemon is rich in Vitamin C which is very effective in helping the sin rejuvenate and promote healthy skin cell growth,” Chacon says.

2. Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juices

Key word here: fresh. Most bottled juices contain a lot of sugar and little actual fruit and veg content so gear up that blender for the best option. “These drinks are not only delicious and refreshing but also does a good deal in improving skin health as well,” Chacon says. “Most fruits like apples and grapes contain antioxidants that help in skin renewal. Citrus fruits like oranges contain Vitamin C that helps in fighting free radical activity in the skin. For vegetables, cucumber and spinach can both do wonders for your skin.”

3. Coconut Water

“This drink is known to be a powerhouse of nutrients since it is rich in vitamin B2, B3, and Vitamin C,” Chacon says. “Coconut water is also helpful in collagen production therefore it can aid in maintaining skin elasticity, and hydrates the skin naturally. Regular drinking of coconut water will prevent dryness, improve overall skin health, and gives your skin a youthful glow.”

4. Aloe Vera Juice

Adequate hydration is one of the best ways to keep your skin looking healthy and strong, registered dietitian Trista Best tells us. However, the demands of our busy schedules can make it challenging to get in enough water for skin health benefits. That's where another hydrating drink comes into play: aloe vera juice!

Aloe vera juice is packed with skin beautifying antioxidants, making it an easy and delicious way to promote hydration," Trista explains. "It simultaneously works to improve gut health and protect healthy cells, both of which have an impact on skin's appearance.

Not only that, but aloe vera juice comes loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that fight free radicals and are essential for our body. Think vitamins A, C, and E, which work to lower oxidative stress on your body and reduce the risk of chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

5. Watermelon Juice

If aloe vera juice isn't your thing, there's another hydrating drink that's taking the wellness world by storm. Watermelon juice is common to Central America, but it's been growing in popularity in the states thanks to its refreshing and delicious taste, as nutritionist Lisa Richards notes. "Since watermelon is 92% water, this beverage makes it easy to stay hydrated throughout the day," she adds. "The vitamin E content in watermelon makes it an ideal food for rejuvenating skin health."

Watermelon juice is also easy to make, and doesn't require any fancy juicers or appliances. "Simply scoop the watermelon into a pitcher and blend for about 30 seconds. Adding a squeeze of lemon or lime can be a great way to naturally sweeten this juice," Lisa advises.

The Bottom Line

Whether you prefer watermelon, aloe vera juice, or one of the other yummy, hydrating options on this list, rest assured you can't go wrong with either one!
