In an intriguing TikTok clip, plastic surgeon and social media personality Dr. Daniel Barrett swiftly addressed rapid fire questions about combating aging through diet, skincare habits, sleep, and the supplement he deemed a hidden gem and “secret weapon” for anti-aging.

At the start of the video, the doctor was questioned about what accelerates aging the most, and he answered, stress. When asked about ways to slow down the aging process, he mentioned regular exercise, adequate sleep, sunscreen use, avoiding smoking, and reducing sugar intake.

Doctors On TikTok Praise NMN & NAD Supplements For Anti-Aging Purposes

Barrett also noted that “peptide therapy, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and skincare” habits all contribute to radiant, glowing skin.

As for a product Barrett can’t live without? He replied: “NAD” and also stressed the importance of this kind of supplement.

According to Health, NAD is a substance that aids cellular functions within your body. As you grow older, the levels of NAD decline naturally.

Supplementing NAD has shown promise as a possible remedy for age-associated issues, potentially improving metabolism, mental clarity, and skin vitality. Barrett referred to this a "secret weapon" as well as NMN.

As Health also reported, NAD is a naturally occurring compound in the body that can be boosted through healthy habits like consistent physical activity and sufficient rest. It is also present in foods such as turkey, cabbage, cucumber, and soybeans.

Additionally, NAD is available as a supplement in various forms, including capsules, powders, liquids, and intravenous (IV) treatments

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a "precursor" for NAD+ biosynthesis, the expert explained.

In addition, he added that a "free way to reduce wrinkles" is to "stay out of the sun" and to "stop smoking." He also said he would "cut out sugar" from his diet to "help" his skin. The more you know!
