60+ Gift Ideas For Everyone On Your List

3 Vitamin C Supplements With Anti-Aging Benefits

1. Vital Proteins Beauty Boost ($49)

This supplement contains vitamins C and E, which both boost the body's natural collagen production. In addition, it also contains biotin, which maintains the health of your hair, skin, and nails.

An antioxidant like vitamin C, Chacon explains, "works to shield your cells from the damage caused by free radicals, which are chemicals your body produces when it breaks down food, is exposed to tobacco smoke, or is exposed to radiation from the sun, X-rays, or other causes."

2. Nature's Truth Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides ($10.99)

Healthy skin, hair, nails, bones, and joints can "all benefit from consuming hydrolyzed collagen types I and III with vitamin C," Chacon explains, regarding this supplement.

"The two main collagen types that are present in connective tissue are type I and type III collagen," she adds. Collagen, a vital structural protein in the body, has "started being produced with the aid of vitamin C," she continues.

Collagen ultimately feeds ligaments, tendons, and bones to assist and support the health of joints, and "promotes skin suppleness, healthy hair, and nails," she points out.

3. Life Extension Vitamin C and Bio-Quercetin Phytosome ($22.50)

A healthy inflammatory response is supported by quercetin, Chacon says, which is present within this supplement. "Both collagen synthesis and proper iron absorption are promoted by vitamin C," she notes.

"Quercetin also enhances the health benefits of vitamin C for your body," she continues. Chacon also says that foods that are considered to be healthy, such fruits, vegetables, and citrus fruits, "frequently contain both vitamin C and bioflavonoids."

This means that this supplement can provide you with even more of these necessary nutrients, benefitting your overall health as well as your skin!
