Weight loss, especially targeting stubborn visceral belly fat, is a common health goal for many. Visceral fat, which surrounds vital organs, can increase the risk of serious conditions like heart disease and diabetes. While a healthy diet and regular exercise are essential, certain supplements can support your journey by boosting metabolism, reducing inflammation, and improving fat breakdown.
Amy Myers (redefiningweightloss), a wellness/health coach with over 29K followers on TikTok and someone who “struggled” to lose weight, recently shared three supplements you should consider taking if you “need to burn visceral belly fat.
“All the calorie counting in the world is not going to help you burn visceral belly fat because visceral belly fat is created from elevated cortisol levels,” Myers first reveals. She adds that once she discovered that her belly fat was related to cortisol levels, she was able to lose the fat and maintain the loss.
She further explains that the reason cortisol is keeping you stuck is that when you’re stressed or anxious, “our cortisol levels elevate. When we have elevated cortisol levels, our body goes into protection mode.”
Since the body naturally goes into fight-or-flight mode, “belly fat moves in to protect the organs.” Although this is natural, the way to minimize this from happening is to balance cortisol levels so your body can feel safe. A healthy diet and exercise are key, but supplements can help as well.

1. Mood Plus/Aerobatic Herbs
The first supplement Myers recommends is Mood Plus.
“Mood Plus are aerobatic herbs that help your body balance cortisol and regulate your central nervous system. When your body feels safe, the belly fat will no longer feel like it has to come in and protect it," she reveals.

2. Probiotics
“We can naturally support metabolic hormone GOP-1 with probiotics. Specifically, GBX fit; gut-brain axis,” she states.
The gut and the brain are closely linked, and probiotics not only “target the gut and the brain but also target both and the signaling between them via the vagus nerve.” She further elaborates by noting that the vagus nerve that connects it clears up that signaling. "This will help target cravings, appetite control, and repair gut lining and microbiome, and will also reduce inflammation.

3. Happy juice
This one is Myers favorite, and the reason is because it’s specifically designed to “help lower anxious feelings and depressed thoughts. It supports the modulation of serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin.”
These will help boost your mood, leaving you feeling better and more motivated.
