Khloe Kardashian is known for female empowerment and epic denim choices, so it's no wonder that it was she and only she that could inspire an ancient like myself (okay, I'm 32) to wear a crazy denim trend like fishnet jeans. YES--I said fishnet, as in the stuff you catch fish with, or more likely, wear on Halloween under a devil costume when you're 21. I usually stay in my lane of dark skinny jeans--but when Khloe's bestselling denim brand Good American launched fishnet jeans earlier this year, I had this sudden urge to step out of my comfort zone.
Khloe herself rocked the jeans with a bra and sheer top. I'll probably skip the sheer shirt and bra part--but dang, she looked good in the jeans. Right?? She's one of my curvy role models, so it further cemented my need to try them. The fishnet trend no longer seemed as random as I'd originally thought.
I probably won't wear mine with a corset top like Khlo did in the promos, I'm thinking more along the lines of black Oxford flats or ankle-strap heels, as well as a distressed white button down or simple blank tank on the weekends. You know, 30-year-old stuff!
