Sydney Sweeney returns for her second Met Gala on Monday, May 1st in an attention-grabbing Miu Miu gown. The Euphoria actress walked the red carpet in a dazzling, figure-hugging garment that was covered in beads and sequins and flared out into a dreamy mermaid tail design.
The blonde beauty’s become a style star to watch over the past several months—whether she’s stunning in a plunging, Jessica-Rabbit-inspired red dress or the sultry Barbiecore pink strapless jumpsuit she wore on the Anyone but You press tour, Sydney regularly tops best-dressed lists with her chic looks.
Sydney Sweeney Glows In A Light Pink Miu Miu Gown On The Red Carpet
Sydney looked radiant in a baby pink, almost nude-toned, beaded Miu Miu gown with a gauzy black bow above the hem for the 2023 Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala. The tight, mermaid-style dress featured thin crystal straps and a plunging neckline. She matched the chiffon bow on her dress to the black ribbon in her buttery blonde hair.
The White Lotus actress completed her look with a pair of drop diamond earrings, a crystal bracelet, and two chunky rings from Bucherer Fine Jewellery. Her makeup was soft and understated with just a pink lip and pale golden eye shadow.
This year's Met Gala theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," had the dress code, "in honor of Karl," and celebrates the provocative fashion designer who died in February 2019. The Met Gala is held annually on the first Monday of May and is one of the most highly anticipated, invite-only fashion events of the year. It acts as a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, formally titled The Anna Wintour Costume Center (named after Vogue's editor-in-chief).
The Emmy-nominated actress's look for the evening was reminiscent of '60s kitten glamour and perfectly represented Karl Lagerfeld's vision of femininity with her coiffed hair coiffed, light pink makeup, and a show-stopping gown.
And, if you're wondering where Sydney's fiancé is, don't worry she is still engaged to Jonathan Davino despite those Glen Powell cheating rumors. Jonathan, a restaurateur, didn't accompany Sydney to this year's Met Gala or last year's either.
