Following a whirlwind of movie promotions for films like Madame Web, Anyone But You, and Immaculate, Sydney Sweeney opted for a change of pace: she hopped on a boat, donned a pirate ensemble, and set sail for a lively soirée with her friends.
But it wasn’t just any pirate attire. The Miu Miu ambassador showcased her curves in a black bustier corset, paired with sheer stockings, leather boots, and topped off with a classic pirate hat. In a carousel of images shared on her Instagram, she struck various poses, including one where she confidently wielded a sword alongside her merry band of pirate pals.
The SNL star captioned her post, “what’s a pirates favorite letter?” Shortly after, thousands of comments poured in from her fans, and the photo has now amassed an impressive 2.3M likes.
“I’d let her steal my ship,” wrote one fan. Another used said, “Stunning beauty.” Others answered her caption, wittingly saying, “They say it’s the R but it’s really the C.”
The blonde beauty posted the photos after producer Carol Baum expressed to an audience that the Euphoria star “isn’t pretty” and “can’t act.”
According to Daily Mail, Baum said, “There’s an actress who everybody loves now, Sydney Sweeney. I don’t get Sydney Sweeney.”
“I was watching on the plane Sydney Sweeney’s movie because I wanted to watch it,” referring to Anyone But You. “I wanted to know who she is and why everybody’s talking about her. I watched this unwatchable movie—sorry to people who love this movie—[this] romantic comedy where they hate each other.”
She continued to add, “I said to my class, explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?'”
A rep for Sweeney responded and called Baum’s remarks ‘shameful’ to Daily Mail, “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman. If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms Baum’s character.”
