A source close to the White Lotus actress recently told People that she and her ex are trying to remain in touch despite whatever it is that led to them calling off their wedding after they were photographed grabbing lunch with their dog and talking for about an hour.
Speaking on their relationship, the source said, "This wasn't just a relationship; this was two people living together and planning a future."
"They still have things to figure out," they continued.
The source also noted that Sydney's "mind is very much on work" and that "she's doing well." This is similar to what another insider revealed to People shortly after the news of the couple's breakup broke. The other insider said Sydney is "all about working right now."
"She's exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd," the insider added.
"What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding," they continued. "She didn't feel right about it."
