There’s a new Mexican Pizza in town—but fans aren’t pleased with the price.
To say that Taco Bell’s original Mexican Pizza has a cult following would be an understatement. Fans went wild when the fast food restaurant announced that they’d be putting this previously discontinued item back on the menu. In fact, it sold out just weeks after its return. Now, though, this beloved “pizza” has returned as a staple, and Taco Bell just added a new variation: the Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza.
While this version of the Mexican Pizza certainly sounds delicious (especially for spice lovers), the price of $4.49 sounds a little steep to a lot of customers. Find all the info below.
Taco Bell adds Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza to Menu
After being tested at select locations last year, the Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza has officially arrived at Taco Bell for a limited time. It comes with everything featured on the original Mexican Pizza: Mexican pizza sauce, shredded three-cheese blend, diced tomatoes, seasoned beef, and refried beans between crispy tortilla shells, plus nacho cheese sauce and jalapeños.
At first glance, this sounds like a jalapeno lover's dream (just like this fan-favorite bread at Trader Joe's). But on Reddit, many Taco Bell customers are expressing disappointment in the price of the new Mexican Pizza.

"The normal Mexican Pizza is already $5.20 at my local T-Bell; I can't imagine how much this'll be," another comment reads. "It's already at the point where just buying a frozen pizza is cheaper - now we're almost at the point where take-out pizza is cheaper." Good point!
Another commenter called this item a "pass" for them: "An already extremely overpriced waste of an item getting even pricier," they wrote.
And one person put it succinctly: "Scam prices."
It seems these high prices for fast food are becoming the new normal. Customers continue to complain about the "shrinkflation" of their favorite items. But this new Mexican Pizza does sound good... so will you give it a try anyway? Let us know in the comments!
