The Taco Bell Cravings Menu is getting a revamp—but not everyone is happy about it. In a press release last month, the fast food chain announced that they’d be making room on the value menu for “more satiating, meal-sized” items that are all $3 0r less. However, that means we have to bid adieu to several fan-favorite Cravings Menu treats. Find all the details below.
Taco Bell takes fan-favorite Cravings Menu items off the menu
Once upon a time, the Taco Bell Cravings Menu was a one-stop shop for some of the cheapest late-night snacks around. Have a hankering for something cheesy and cheap? Taco Bell had you covered with items like the Cheesy Roll Up, Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito, and Shredded Chicken Mini Quesadilla—all for just $1 plus tax. But over the years, as we've witnessed inflation in the fast food industry (or, as some people call it, "shrinkflation"), the Cravings Menu has undergone a lot of changes. And now we have to say goodbye to four tasty items to make room for some larger offerings.
Many fans are sad to hear that the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito, Beefy Melt Burrito, Fiesta Veggie Burrito, and Classic Combo are all leaving the menu. Meanwhile, the Cinnamon Twists are moving to the "drinks and sweets" section.
@tacobell menu makes me sad. No more Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito," lamented one user on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.
@tacobell PLEASE stop removing my favorite things from your menu. First the double decker, now the chipotle ranch grilled chicken burrito WHATS NEXT??" another wrote.
It has just come across my desk that Taco Bell discontinued the chipotle ranch grilled chicken. They will answer for their crimes," joked one poster.
However, while we're always sad to see tasty foods leave the menu, the recent additions look promising.
Taco Bell's New Cravings Menu
Although we loved the snack-sized goodies that once graced the Taco Bell value menu, the new meals do seem mouthwateringly good. You can find the following on the new Cravings Menu, per Taco Bell's press release:
- $1.99 Double Stacked Taco: "This taco is stacked with classic Taco Bell flavors, made up of a Crunchy Taco shell filled with seasoned beef, fiesta strips, lettuce, cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a soft tortilla with nacho cheese sauce"
- $2.19 Stacker: "Indulgent cheesy, beefy flavors all stacked together, made up of seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce and 3-cheese blend, folded together into a tortilla"
- $2.79 Cheesy Double Beef Burrito: "Beefy, cheesy flavors featuring double the seasoned beef, seasoned rice, nacho cheese sauce, fiesta strips, 3-cheese blend and reduced fat sour cream, all wrapped up in a tortilla"
- $2.29 3-Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt: "Cheesy chicken indulgence featuring grilled chicken, creamy chipotle sauce and 3-cheese blend, all folded into a pillowy flatbread"
- $2.49 Chicken Enchilada Burrito: Mexican-inspired flavors made up of grilled chicken, seasoned rice, red sauce, 3-cheese blend and reduced fat sour cream, all wrapped up in a tortilla"
- $2.99 Loaded Beef Nachos: "Nachos loaded with flavor in every bite featuring nacho chips topped with seasoned beef, beans, nacho cheese sauce, red sauce, reduced fat sour cream and guacamole"
