Unfortunately, the chain doesn’t always deliver what they advertise. One Taco Bell customer was more than disappointed with their order, and took to Reddit to share not only their disappointment with the quality of food, but the price they paid for it, too. The Taco Bell Power Bowl is a pretty popular option for those trying to opt for healthier options without restricting their cravings. The bowl is customizable, meaning you can add to takeaway whatever proteins or toppings you like to design your definition of deliciousness.
The standard bowl, though, comes with juicy grilled chicken, seasoned rice and black beans, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream, plus avocado ranch sauce and guacamole. Sounds delicious, right? Looks good too? Well unfortunately, some customers weren't too lucky with that they got.
Reddit User Complains Of 'Sad Looking' Power Bowl
User @bertoltbreak on Reddit made the healthy choice and paid $9 for a power bowl from Taco Bell, and was so disappointed with what they got that they started a Reddit thread, posting a photo of their order captioned, "pretty sad looking bowl for $9."
In the photo, the most notable item is the seasoned rice. There's some white-colored lettuce, a splash of black beans, and if you squint, there is the potential of chicken in the back. Certainly not worth $9, and certainly not at all what's in the picture on the website!
Other customers felt for this user, with one person writing, "Aw damn! When they're good, they're so good, but when they're half-assed, it's heartbreaking!"
"Mine was all rice," another person commented. "$9 for 2 scoops of rice. Not worth the price."
