Fans of Mexican restaurants know that add-ons like guac and queso can oftentimes cost a small fortune. For example, you’ll have to shell out over $3 for a side of Chipotle’s delicious queso. So the fact that there’s a way to grab free guac at Taco Bell is great news.
Luckily, a Reddit user shared the good news in the Taco Bell subreddit. “Fun Fact: with the $4 for 4 rolled tacos, guac upgrade is free,” they wrote. “Thought someone might like knowing it.”
Indeed, in the screenshot they shared, we see they were able to get a 4-pack of rolled chicken tacos for $6.99, alongside two guacamoles—free of charge.
However, some argued that the undesirable quality of Taco Bell guacamole rendered this free upgrade useless. "But then you have to eat Taco Bell guacamole," one wrote. "Who wins there?"
"TB guacamole is awful," another person echoed.
But wait—if you fall into the camp of Taco Bell guac-haters, then you may be interested to hear what someone else wrote: "I think they’ve upgraded the guac recently because what I got was clearly real avocados with a pico in it and was shockingly decent for fast food."
