Taco Bell introduces Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco
If you're a fan of the delectable Grilled Cheese Burrito, you're probably going to love these new Grilled Cheese Dipping Tacos. These bad boys were originally tested last year in select locations across Minnesota and Tennessee, and now everyone is finally able to taste them.
Taco Bell has put their own twist on birria tacos. The Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco is filled with slow-braised shredded beef, creamy jalapeno sauce, and a three-cheese blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and pepperjack—which is also grilled on the outside of the white corn shell, hence the "grilled cheese" in the name. Can you say "yum"?!
And here's where the dipping part comes in: As the final touch (and true to the birria blueprint), these tacos come with a savory red dipping sauce and a side of nacho cheese. Sign us up! It's all available now nationwide.
Taco Bell Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco Price
Each taco will cost roughly $3.49, depending on the location. Some people on the Internet have an issue with this price.
"Local legit birria tacos are cheaper than this," one Reddit user noted on a post announcing the tacos.
"$3.49 for a single taco with only meat and cheese," another complained.
A lot of fast food consumers have been increasingly agitated with inflation, with many complaining about "shrinkflation" taking place at Taco Bell in particular.
However, one commenter did sing some praises for these tacos: "Had this last night, honestly quite good!" they wrote. "It's not authentic Birria but any means but it's the best beef I've had at Taco Bell in a while, and the sheer cheesiness of the whole thing was quite good."
But what do you think? Is the price worth it for this cheesy, beefy item? Or will you stick to your local taco truck? Let us know in the comments!
