Taco Bell Just Announced This Major Change To Its Dining Rooms For Covid–& People Are Freaking Out!

Taco Bell just announced major plans to shake up the fast food industry!

“In collaboration with its franchisees, Taco Bell has continued to evolve its restaurants on an ongoing basis,” the company revealed in a press release on March 23rd.

For the Tex-Mex chain, this has meant creating a new restaurant model for "urban locations without drive-thrus," called "Cantinas" and plans to open 10,000 new locations in the next ten years. This is huge!

"The brand is leveraging a multitude of design formats to enhance and redefine both the customer and team member QSR experience in a constantly shifting world," the release states.

Other examples of how they're majorly shaking things up is the Go Mobile format, a concierge service of employees, referred to as "bellhops," that are meant to improve drive-thru speeds (and thanks to advancements like tablet ordering and curbside pickup). This is all so Covid!

"In the last year, we’ve remodeled 3 restaurants into our Go Mobile format, and plan to both remodel and build over 30 additional Go Mobile restaurants by year end,” Tina Reagan, president and COO of franchise K-Mac Enterprises, said.
