Taco Bell Removed The Most Insane Items From Its Menu–Customers Are Freaking Out!

Taco Bell removed 13 popular menu items in 2020–and customers are still reeling!

The fast food chain took a slew of items–from Quesarito to Mexican Pizza–off the menu last year, much to the chagrin of their loyal fanbase.

As if last year wasn’t rough enough, the California-based chain removed over a dozen popular food and drink items. The reason? Covid-19 and customer’s changing tastes.

Items like cheesy potatoes (vegetarians were furious), nachos supreme, Quesarito and Mexican Pizza were all removed from Taco Bell menu boards this year. Yikes!

In July 2020, the company announced via release that it would be dropping potatoes from the menu in August, which affected dishes such as the Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, and Cheesy Potato Loaded Grillers.

"We know some vegetarian go-to items might be gone, but Taco Bell's menu remains highly customizable," the company said--although vegetarians on Twitter were FURIOUS.

"Taco Bell is getting rid of cheesy fiesta potatoes, no one talk to me for the rest of the month," wrote one beleaguered guest.

"If Taco Bell is really taking the potatoes off their menu entirely, 2020 will have actually been the worst year of my life," wrote another. Ouch!

Next up, was the fan-favorite Quesarito. The item beef burrito and quesadilla combo item is no longer available at Taco Bell restaurants. As on Twitter user put it, "First McDonald’s takes away snack wraps now Taco Bell is getting rid of quesaritos???? 2020 is the worst." We agree!

"While change is hard, a simplified menu and innovation process will leave room for new fan favorites, continued progress in categories such as plant-based diets, and even opportunities for the return of some classics on a limited-time basis," they continued. You know fans weren't buying it!

Their breakfast options diminished as well. As a result of fewer commuters, the company pulled their mini skillet bowl from the breakfast menu. Say it ain't so!
