Target recently announced that it will carry one Covid policy forward: the store announced via its corporate site that it will be closing their stores on Thanksgiving Day in 2021!

If you recall, the company changed their Black Friday Sale in 2020 to a month-long event, with deals start on November 1st, rather than holding out for the one notoriously busy shopping day to release them.

They also announced that, like Walmart, they would be closed for the first time in years on Thanksgiving Day.

Well, clearly the decision was right because the Minneapolis-based company announced in their holiday recap on January 13th, that, "We’re telling you here first: Our Target stores will be closed all day on Thanksgiving Day 2021."

"We also closed our stores on Thanksgiving Day in order to minimize crowds and help our guests take the stress out of getting the best deals of the season. The response was so positive that we’ll carry it forward this year, keeping our Target stores closed all day long on Thanksgiving Day," they revealed. "This is just one example of how our evolving strategy is meeting the needs of our business and our guests."
