“Track 3, ‘Anti-Hero,’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. I really don’t think I’ve delved this far into my insecurities in this detail before,” she said, adding that she faces challenges with a life that has become “unmanageably sized” due to overwhelming fame. “Not to sound too dark, but, like, I just struggle with the idea of not feeling like a person,” she continued.
Taylor Swift‘s synthpop, confessional, and long-awaited record, Midnights has finally arrived, and the hitmaker, 32, just released its first single and music video! Just hours after releasing her tenth studio album on October 21st, Swift also premiered the “Anti-Hero” video, in which she can be seen rocking several 70s-esque and blingy outfits that Swifties can’t get enough of.

In the comical, witty and heartfelt video, Swift meets the ‘anti-hero’ version of herself. Her alter-ego is dressed in (our fave look of the video) a multi-colored, vertical-striped Farm Rio bodysuit, high-waisted orange short-shorts with gold, sparkling embellishments, and knee-high, green, Prada ‘Python’ heeled boots— all helping emphasize her endless, toned legs.

To complete the outfit, Swift accessorized with shiny gold chain necklaces, a matching bracelet and ring all by Jennifer Meyer Jewelry, and wore her long, dirty blonde tresses and bangs down, styled into her signature elegant waves. As for her makeup look, Swift went for sharp, black, cat-eye eyeliner, contoured cheekbones with rosy blush, trendy bejeweled facial stickers, and her trademark fiery red lipstick. Since it dropped, fans all across social media have dubbed this outfit to be their “favorite” from the “Anti-Hero” video, and others also deemed it to be “flattering” on Swift and “instantly iconic.” (We agree!)

In the past few weeks, the “Cruel Summer” singer uploaded several Instagram videos for her 228 million followers. In each clip, she gave brief explanations behind the meanings of select Midnights tracks. On October 3rd, Swift opened up about writing “Anti-Hero,” and detailed the song’s significance to her personal life.
The Grammy winner went on, “Don’t feel too bad for me — you don’t need to. But you know, this song really is a real guided tour throughout all the things I tend to hate about myself. We all hate things about ourselves. … So I like ‘Anti-Hero’ a lot because I think it’s really honest.”
