Taylor Swift announced that she would be voting for Kamala Harris last month, and her Swiftie fanbase rallied behind her… most of them. A group of Trump supporting women posted a video of them singing along to Taylor Swift’s hit song “22” and their video went viral after Donald Trump’s campaign reposted it. Now, Swifties are calling him out on Twitter for using Taylor’s song without permission. Keep reading for more information.

Donald Trump Uses Taylor Swift’s Song In Campaign Video

The video posted by @TeamTrump on Instagram shows a group of 8 women wearing matching pink Trump-branded blazers singing along to a remix of Taylor Swift’s song “22”. The original lyrics read, “I don’t know about you / but I’m feeling 22!”

The @TeamTrump women, however, remixed the song to read, “I don’t know about you / but I’m voting Donald Trump.” Singing and gesturing to their Trump-branded outfits, they perhaps didn’t realize that the original singer has spoken out against Donald Trump in both of the past two elections.”

Swifities Come For Donald Trump On Twitter

When @PatriotTakes reposted the video on Twitter, they didn't quite reach the fanbase they were hoping for. Instead, Swifties flooded the comment section with roasts for the former president. "I hope she sues!" one person wrote.

"This is so cringe," another one added.

"I hope she strikes back," added another.

"Cease and desist incoming," tweeted one person.

"To be a woman and voting for Trump is actually insane," added another.

"Taylor does not play with her rights," one person said. "Trump is going down!"
