Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were spotted together on a walk and cute coffee date in London this week and fans on Twitter noticed that the Grammy winner’s left hand *did not* sport a ring of any sort. For many Swifties (who hope that the beloved celeb couple is indeed engaged), the new paparazzi-snapped pics seem to “shut down” that classic engagement theory, as one user wrote.

While on their stroll, the duo held hands and looked more in love than ever as they soaked up the summer sun. For the occasion, the “cardigan” hitmaker donned a gray tank top, high-waisted denim shorts and a tailored, long-sleeved button-up top over it. To complete her look, she added a white baseball cap, chic sunglasses and Adidas x Ivy Park sneakers. The Harriet star matched her with a similar outfit, composed of a white t-shirt, blue athletic shorts, a blue baseball cap, sunglasses and gray sneakers.

Swift and Alwyn sparked fresh engagement rumors back in January, when the internet was convinced that the 30-year-old Conversations With Friends actor got down on one knee and popped the question to the 32-year-old “Look What You Made Me Do” singer. And here’s why!

The couple – who have been dating since 2017 – reportedly flew via private jet from Taylor’s home in Nashville to Cornwall (St Ives to be exact!) for a romantic and very private three-day getaway earlier this year. And sources are hinting that the location is very special to both of them, so it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to believe that they flew 4,000 miles for something special. And what’s more special than a proposal?! “Taylor’s a superstar and obviously very wealthy, so she can travel almost anywhere she wants at any time. But to go that far just for a few days clearly meant a lot to them,” an insider told The Sun, also adding that the couple chose to stay in a rented house rather than a hotel for maximum privacy.
