Here’s What Taylor Swift Looks Like Going Makeup-Free—We’re Speechless!

In another post from March 2019, a fresh-faced Swift poses for a selfie on the set of Cats. This minimal-makeup photo was taken with a sign that reads “Bombalurina,” the name of her character in the film. “Meow,” she cleverly captioned the post. Cats was the star’s first acting role since her debut in Valentine’s Day, which came out in over a decade ago in 2010.
Although there is a bit of color on the “Lover” singer’s lips in this particular picture, it seems like she still kept the makeup to a minimum. We’re more used to seeing her with a lot of glitz and glam on tour and at award shows, but we love the more natural look on her. She looks comfortable, confident, and happy—and nothing’s more beautiful than that!
The singer-songwriter hasn’t always been so confident in her looks, though. Swift has dealt with her fair share of insecurities and self-image issues, as she revealed in her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana.
“There’s always some standard of beauty that you’re not meeting,” she said, opening up about her struggles with being a woman in the public eye. “Because if you’re thin enough, then you don’t have that a– that everybody wants, but if you have enough weight on you to have an a–, then your stomach isn’t flat enough.”
While it’s heartbreaking to hear that she deals with these insecurities, it’s certainly refreshing to hear a star be so candid about these topics. We always love to see the Grammy-winner’s au naturel looks, and we hope she continues to embrace the beauty she was born with.
