At one point in the film, while Swift is explaining her decision to break her silence on politics, viewers get a glimpse of a very telling piece of jewelry on her left hand that looks a whole lot like an engagement ring.
Marriage for Swift is definitely not out of the question--especially considering that the singer has been dating since late 2016.
It also would not be shocking if she kept their engagement a secret, considering the two have kept their relationship very private--a stark contrast from Taylor's previous relationships.
Despite this potential move toward marriage, Swift maintains in the documentary that she is not ready for children, explaining, "There’s part of me that feels like I’m 57 years old, but there’s part of me that’s definitely not ready to have kids and definitely not ready for all that grown up stuff."
The theory behind Taylor's engagement definitely has some merit, especially considering clues throughout her "Lover" album.
In fact, after the album was released, many fans started guessing at her relationship status due to lyrics like "Ladies and Gentlemen / Will you please stand / With every guitar string scar on my hand / I take this magnetic force of a man to be mine / Lover / My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue / All’s well that ends well to end up with you."
