Taylor Swift was one of the most highly-anticipated musicians to arrive at the MTV Video Music Awards, which took place on Tuesday, September 12th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. And she didn’t disappoint with her head-turning and seductive, some might even say dark and moody, red carpet outfit, which made Swifties all the more certain that she would be releasing Reputation (Taylor’s Version) in the not-so-distant future!

Taylor Swift Walks The MTV VMAs Red Carpet In Black Versace Dress

The 33-year-old "Anti-Hero" hitmaker put on a leggy display in a slinky black halter-neck Versace dress, which featured an asymmetric plunging front and asymmetric button detailing throughout. It also featured an extremely daring leg slit, which traveled all the way up to the top of Taylor's thigh. Wow!

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer went hard on the accessories too, and added many layers of necklaces, as well as a selection of bracelets, rings, and an Anita Ko stacked diamond ear cuff. She didn’t tone things down with the hair and makeup either – this is one of the music industry's biggest nights of the year, after all – and sported a dramatic winged liner, although she did swap her signature red lip for a more natural one to make the eyes really pop.

Taylor Swift Wins Nine MTV VMAs

The "Bad Blood" singer wasn’t just a red carpet winner, as she was also the biggest award winner of the entire night, taking home a super-impressive nine out of the 11 awards she was nominated for. She is now second on the list of most MTV VMA wins with a total of 25 overall, with Beyoncé currently in the top spot with 28, two of which she won when she was with Destiny's Child. Madonna isn’t too far behind Taylor with 20 wins so far, with Lady Gaga having an impressive 19 VMAs under her belt.

Swift took home awards for Artist of the Year, Show of the Summer, and Album of the Year for Midnights, while "Anti-Hero" won Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects, and of course, the coveted Video of the Year award. Taylor beat Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, SZA, and MTV VMA host Nicki Minaj for the coveted award, and also made VMAs history by winning it a remarkable four times. She previously won it for "All Too Well: The Short Film," "Bad Blood," and "You Need to Calm Down." Congrats, Taylor!
