Taylor Swift continues to promote her upcoming record in style! The Grammy winner, 32, took to Instagram last week to discuss the track list of Midnights— her long-awaited tenth studio album— and rocked a chic striped knit mini dress that we think is perfect for fall. The “cardigan” hitmaker opened up about one specific song in particular— “Snow On The Beach,” which she noted in a new video is a collaborative track with Lana Del Rey. As seen in Swift’s comment section, her 227 million followers couldn’t get enough of the news— and her dress!

Swift’s frock is the ‘Leone Cashmere Sweater Mini Dress’ from Reformation, and features a classic multicolor striped pattern, knitted fabric, a high, rounded neckline, long sleeves, a thigh-skimming hemline, and overall curve-hugging fit. The Red (Taylor’s Version) songwriter added mini gold hoop earrings to accessorize her look, and wore her signature long blonde tresses and bangs down, styled straight. To emphasize her stunning features, Swift added her go-to black cat-eye liner, voluminous mascara, rosy blush and a subtle light red lipstick hue.

In the clip, Swift said to fans, “‘Snow on the Beach’ featuring Lana Del Rey is track four on Midnights and I cannot get through that sentence without grinning because I am such a massive fan of Lana Del Rey.” She then detailed what inspired the song, the fourth track on her new LP (which will be out Friday, October 21st).

The “Cruel Summer” singer said that the song is about “falling in love with someone at the same time as they’re falling in love with you, sort of in this sort of cataclysmic, fated moment where you realize someone feels exactly the same way that you feel… at the same moment.” She then said that this “moment” would feel like, “‘Wait, is this real? Is this a dream? Is this for real? Is this happening? Is this really happening?’ Kind of like it would be if you were to see snow falling on a beach.”

To make Swifties and Del Rey fans even more excited, Swift said she will reveal more about working with the “Summertime Sadness” crooner in the future. Swift then gushed about the “Video Games,” singer, dubbing Del Rey to be “one of the best musical artists ever. The fact that I get to exist at the same time as her is an honor and a privilege.” Swift sweetly added that she will be “grateful… for life” for the chance to work with Del Rey on the track.

We’re marking our calendars for October 21st for this iconic collab— and the rest of the 13 tracks on Midnights— which Swift has said to be composed of the “stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [her] life.”
