Taylor Swift was notably absent from the iHeartRadio Music Awards last month, which came as a surprise to many—initially. It’s known that Taylor loves an award show, and is always seen to be having a great time. Plus, she was honored with numerous awards, including Tour of the Century. However, after some digging, Swifties now think the singer skipped the show because of the host—Nikki Glaser.
Glaser, who is a self-proclaimed die-hard fan, made the mistake of bodyshaming Taylor back in 2015. Fans think that after finding out Glaser would be the one presenting her with the awards, Swift backed out. Keep reading for more information.

Taylor Swift Skips The iHeartRadio Music Awards
Many thought Taylor would definitely be attending the iHeartRadio Music Awards, after all, she won Artist of the Year, Tour of the Century, Favorite Surprise Guest (ahem, Travis Kelce!), Favorite Tour Style, Favorite Tour Tradition, Best Music Video, and Favorite On-Screen Performance. However, despite the plethora of winnings, Swift accepted the awards in a pre-recorded video.
While Taylor simply could've had scheduling conflicts, many fans think that Taylor Swift skipped the awards show because of the host—Nikki Glaser. Though the comedian is a Swiftie herself and attended 22 Eras Tour shows, way back in 2015, she wasn't as much a fan as she was a bully.

Nikki Glaser Bodyshames Taylor Swift
In Taylor Swift's 2020 documentary, Miss America, she opened up about her struggles with disordered eating. She recalled when looking at photos of herself she would "feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or...someone said that I looked pregnant and that'll just trigger me to just starve a little bit – just stop eating."
Unfortunately, Glaser was one of the people making these comments. "She's too skinny," she said of Swift in 2016. "It bothers me. All of her model friends. You have to have a thigh gap to hang out with her. They screen all her friends. And it's just like, come on." I wouldn't want to receive an award from someone who said that about me either!
