Taylor Swift Unveils 'Eras Tour' Premiere Date With Exciting Birthday Announcement
On November 27th, the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker took to her social media accounts and wrote: "Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!"
The Grammy winner, who will soon turn 34, added: "Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13."
Swift's announcement regarding the availability of her "Eras Tour" for streaming arrived the day after she wrapped up her 2023 tour in Brazil. Fans, eager for a surprise announcement during the show, went as far as to chant "Reputation" in hopes of receiving word on a potential "Taylor's Version" release, but were met with silence on the matter.
Although the lack of updates regarding the upcoming album may have left a few fans disheartened, the opportunity to savor the "Eras Tour" movie from the coziness of their own homes during the festive season could prove to be a soothing alternative for Swift's loyal enthusiasts.
Swift's record-breaking 'Eras Tour' saw her perform 66 shows - 53 of which were held in the United States, while the remaining 13 were hosted internationally. Swift's touring endeavors are set to recommence in Tokyo, Japan, come February of 2024.
