TGI Fridays Boneless Chicken Bites Recalled Because They May Contain Plastic

An announcement from the FSIS made on December 15, 2023 states that Simmons Prepared Foods has recalled 26,550 pounds of TGI Fridays boneless chicken bites Honey BBQ Chicken because they "may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of clear, hard plastic" under the breading, as reported by customers to the firm. Yikes!

The recalled products are 15-oz cartons with a lot code of KL3K03, a best by date of 12/26/2024, and establishment number P-20287. They were produced on October 3rd, 2023 and shipped nationwide.

If you are in possession of these products, you are urged not to consume them. Instead, FSIS says you should throw them out or return them to the place of purchase. For questions or concerns, call 1800-280-7185.

Luckily, no injuries or illness have been linked to these products. However, taking recalls like this seriously is an important part of keeping you and your family safe and healthy.

Other recent recalls include fruit puree pouches with high amounts of lead and instant noodles with undeclared allergens.
