Although Kylie and Kendall Jenner have always been easily recognized as sisters due to their shared physical traits such as dark hair, brown eyes, and high cheekbones, an increasing number of Instagram followers have noticed even more striking similarities between their faces, leading to speculation that they may have undergone comparable plastic surgery treatments.

On January 13th, the Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 26, shared two radiant smiling selfies with the supermodel, 28, in a post for her 399 million followers. She captioned her post: "these are our years." While the Jenner sisters had similar smiling expressions, many users began taking to the comment section to share what other things they thought the two Kardashians stars had in common.
"Same fillers, same Botox," one user wrote as another added: "In between Botox appointments when you’re able to move those muscles." Someone else chimed in: "These are our veneers." The Jenner sisters have faced plastic surgery, Botox and veneer accusations in the past, and have denied and confirmed certain procedures.
Kylie admitted to pursuing lip fillers and undergoing breast augmentation surgery as a teenager but stressed in a November 2023 WSJ interview that she "never touched my face" regarding other rumored procedures like cheek fillers. Apart from lip fillers, the Khy founder said: "I’ve never touched my face, but just even getting my breasts done when I was 19 and getting pregnant soon after, not obviously planning to be pregnant at 19. And I was never insecure about myself."
She went on: "I actually was always super confident and loved my body. I was just having fun. I was influenced by amazing boobs and was like, that’s what I wanted to do, and had fun with it." The mom of two then admitted: "I probably just should have waited until I maybe had kids or let my body just develop." She then stressed that she has found motherhood to be about "teaching our kids to do better than us, be better versions of who we were."
During an episode of the third season of The Kardashians, Jenner responded to the incessant and ongoing plastic surgery rumors circulating among social media users, which had persisted over time. "One of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child and I got so much surgery to change my whole face, which is false," she said, adding: "I’ve only gotten fillers."
As for Kendall, in the past year, she has generated speculation about having undergone lip filler and plastic surgery on several occasions. Fans on Instagram have noticed her lips appearing significantly "plumper" than usual and excessively "outlined." While the 818 Tequila mogul has yet to comment on these fresh lip filler rumors, she notably addressed plastic surgery speculation in 2017 after she was spotted sporting a "bigger" pout on Instagram, which became a major topic of conversation.
She explained to fans: "All of a sudden, photos of us came out with headlines like, 'OMG Kendall got her lips done and got full facial reconstruction—look at her cheekbones, look at her nose!' I was like, this is CRAZY. I didn't even address it at the time. Because if I address it, people are going to be like, 'Oh, so she's defending herself—she must be guilty.'"
Although Kylie has been adamant that she has only had the aforementioned procedures and Kendall maintains that she has never altered her appearance, many Instagram users remain skeptical and persist in speculating about any possible additional surgeries or treatments whenever the sisters are in the public eye.
