White Toast

White bread, which is full of refined carbs and empty calories, is one food you should probably avoid for weight loss.

According to Healthline, "Bread is high in calories and carbs but low in protein, fat, fiber and many vitamins and minerals."

stomach pains

The amount of carbs in bread can contribute to overeating. Plus, it can lead to more serious health problems.

Healthline continues, "Bread’s high carb content can increase blood sugar and hunger while possibly promoting a higher body weight and an increased risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome."

toast

Plus, it's rare that you are eating plain toast. Popular toast spreads can add more calories, sugar, and fat.

Butter, jelly, and hazelnut spread can all contribute to weight gain, especially when paired with white bread. Limiting these toppings is a good idea to stop weight gain.

nutella

With that in mind, sticking to healthier types of bread--like whole grain and Ezekiel bread--when you make toast is a more weight loss friendly option.
