Grilling

Sure, grilling food seems to be a healthy way to cook, but it can actually have a major toll on your diet if done wrong. Chances are, you’re probably making an enormous mistake with your grilling habits…

Grilling

You’re probably overeating on all of the grilled foods, according to culinary expert Steven Raichlen. Just because it’s grilled doesn’t mean you can over indulge in meat. Like with most meals, portion size is always key.

Grilling

“We tend to think of BBQ as a giant hunk of meat in the middle of a plate,” says Raichlen. “But Eastern cultures value finesse and flavor over belt-loosening plate size.”

Raichlen advises to trim off any fat on steaks, and choose leaner cuts like tenderloins. Also, make sure to marinate your food in low-fat sauces and spices, such as fresh lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper.
