Isopropyl Alcohol
According to Lady Alopecia, hair loss expert, isopropyl alcohol is one important ingredient to avoid if you are concerned about hair loss.
She explains, "If you see this item in the ingredients list of your regular conditioner, you should discontinue use ASAP. This particular substance is used in antifreeze, spray for wooden surfaces and shellac as well as certain conditioners, which may indicate how potent it is and how harmful it could be for your hair."
Instead, she recommends turning to more natural moisturizing ingredients to keep your hair soft and healthy, explaining, "Try and look for more natural solutions, for instance, products that are rich in Vitamin E or other moisturizing ingredients. Alternatively, cease using conditioner altogether and apply a treatment of coconut or neem oil twice a week to keep your hair and scalp in a healthier condition."
