Dr. Rachel Nazarian, of Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York City, shared with HuffPost that lip balms with added fragrances can cause lips to become irritated which leads to more chapping. 


So if you’ve been slathering on a lip balm loaded with extra fragrance and unnecessary ingredients, it’s time to do your pout a favor and switch to a fragrance-free, beeswax or lanolin-based lip balm instead.
