Getting Too Close To Others
Try to stick to public spaces with plenty of room to spread out, ensuring that you will be able to maintain proper social distancing measures. Make sure to bring your mask with you too.
Staying six feet (approximately two arm lengths) away from others while in public spaces is an important part of being safe. If going for a walk, this might be easier, considering you can always change direction depending on how close others are getting. However, if you are planning on sitting down somewhere (and maybe even having a picnic), it's a good idea to look out for a secluded spot where others won't get too close.
The CDC also has a set of guidelines for visiting parks and beaches. According to the CDC website, you should "[s]tay at least six feet from others at all times. This might make some open areas, trails, and paths better to use. Do not go into a crowded area."
Their website also specifies that you should also still keep your contact with people who are not in your household to a minimum.
Plus, if you are going to a place where you know soap and water will not be available, make sure to bring hand sanitizer.
Keep these precautions in mind next time you go to a public space as a way to keep safe while still enjoying the warm weather and outdoor space.
