Burger King is one of the OG fast food restaurants. While their famous burgers are delicious, it's no surprise that some of their menu items can be unhealthy. One top of that, there are a few fast food secrets about the chain that you've probably never heard of before, including some insider tips from former employeers. Click through the slideshow to see what you shold never order from the BK Lounge.

It's called Burger King, not Chicken King for a reason. According Reddit user shmandameyes, "If you're really short on time, don't count on chicken tenders or grilled chicken sandwiches or salads being made quickly at Burger King. I remember that the tenders took forever to cook and we didn't really make them that often, so most times they were made to order. Same for the grilled chicken."

Former Burger King employee matt_452 echoes this point. They told Reddit, “Don't order grilled chicken or veggie burgers. No one orders them, so they sit for hours (literally) and they become horrible dried out garbage. Also avoid the crispy chicken and fish because they tend to sit around for a while, too.” Stick to the burgers, people.

If you're health conscious, you'll want to avoid the famous Whopper. It might be "America's Favorite Burger" but the sad truth is that it's terrible for you. According to Eat This, Not That, the Whopper is the original mega-sized, trans-fatty burger. It has more than half of your daily recommended allowance of fat.

Another offender is the Extra Long Sriracha Burger, which has 45g of carbs. It also has two beef patties, topped with a sriracha-"flavored" sauce and cheese, which adds up to 23 grams of fat and more than half a day's worth of sodium.

Sadly, Burger King only has 1.5 stars on the Customer Affairs website. There's a lengthy thread of customer complaints about the fast food giant. In particular, several people complained about having stomach problems after eating the chain.
