According to Eat This, Not That, the worst thing to order at Hardee's is by far the Thickburger El Diablo. The name alone should be a warning sign. It's been named one of the "Worst Burgers in America." Weighing in a half a pound, the burger has 1,380 calories and 93 grams of fat. In general, the Thickburgers at Hardee's should be avoided at all costs, especially if you are trying to stay slim. Eat This, Not That says, "Instead of helping you get a flat stomach, it will just make you, well, thick."

A less devilish alternative to the Thickburger El Diablo is Hardee's Double Cheeseburger. Eat This, Not That says, "Order the Double Cheeseburger for classic flavors you know and love, a solid hit of muscle-building protein and a sodium count within reason."

Hardee's was the first national chain to offer turkey burgers and all-natural beef patties. If you don't eat beef, the chain's all-natural turkey burger is a menu good option.

If you are looking for a salad, Hardee's doesn't have too much to offer. You're better off stopping at Carl Jr's, which is owned by the same parent company as Hardee's. Carl Jr's was the first fast food chain to offer a salad bar.
